WHEN THE NIGHT IS NOT STILL

WHEN THE NIGHT IS
NOT STILL
By: Tyararr J. Jones
As I lay here in bed waiting to drift off to yonder,
My mind is not still as I upon burdends ponder.
Quiet conversation with God as I abound with things to say,
How thankful I am He is near when my heart opens to pray.
Thoughts of hope and expectations cast shadows upon my mind,
Answers to daily ponderings have been very hard to find.
Patience has held my hand, doubt has knocked confidently at my door,
How much longer shall I ignore him, I cannot take this anymore.
As darkness takes its sleep, time continues to take its flight,
Lord calm the rustling of my heart so I may sleep soundly through the night.
O the silent burdens that greet me with readiness and open hand,
Showing me the negative and what from me they demand.
Sweet thoughts of joy find their place in my expression,
Reminded of God's promises that are held in my posession.
Much has been accomplished as I drift off now to sleep,
Resting in my Savior, Who my mind and heart will keep.

IMPRINTS OF JOY

IMPRINTS OF
JOY
By: Tyararr J. Jones
It seems like yesterday that my heart first smiled upon your presence.
That smile has not faded, for the memories of joy with you are rehearsed daily
in the solitude of my heart.
What has become of the happiness that we shared in fellowship?
How have these walls made us distant strangers, though my heart has kept you closer than my very breath?
Your smile has become clouded with expressions of searching and frustration.
My heart struggles with what was and what is now our present circumstance.
My heart still longs for your fellowship though my mouth remains silent.
The pleasure of giving to you has been halted by your lack of understanding of who I am.
I expect nothing back from you. I only wish to do what has become a pleasure of my heart; that is giving to you.
It seems like yesterday that my heart first smiled upon your presence.
That smile has not faded, for the memories of the beauty of who you are has left me a man who is forever changed.
Though our fellowship may never embrace again, though I never bring a smile to your face again; You are forever an imprint of joy upon my heart and mind.

TEMPORARY EXPECTATIONS

TEMPORARY EXPECTATIONS
By: Tyararr J. Jones
The uncertainty of tomorrow has held me tightly for a time that is not my own,
From worrier to believer, I have slowly grown.
Time has placed its mark on me, its hands I cannot control,
My hope remains grounded in the true Savior of my soul.
I tread softly the path of patience that at times is thin,
I seek daily passionately this battle to win.
What is it that I hope for while abiding in this temporary vessel,
The battle wages deeper as I with frustration struggle?
Expectations are unpredictable, though their unveiling is refreshing,
I place my fulfillment in a refinery of eternal hope and blessing.

THESE STEPS OF MINE

THESE STEPS OF
MINE
By:Tyararr J. Jones
She has led me down a path I have tread before,
With great hesitation I find myself knocking at her door.
Memories of our pleasant meetings rehearse as pictures of refreshment,
Remembrances of her smile leave me with a joyful state of contentment.
The beauty of her face has left a fragrance I cannot shake,
She daily meets me in heart and mind when I early wake.
She has led me down a path I have tread before,
I long for her sweet fellowship today and ever more.
Why do I respond to the beckoning of her silent voice,
It caresses my pursuing ears and urges my heart to make its choice.
Shall I succumb again to this longing that dwells within my heart,
Trying to maintain this peace of mind before we silently depart?
Release me my distant friend to whom I daily give,
Recieve the love of which I offer that I may joyfully give.
These steps of mine that I take that knock here at your door,
Have been imprinted with the reminder, that you are the one that I most willingly adore.

FROM YONDER GROUND

FROM YONDER
GROUND
By: Tyararr J. Jones
These distant thoughts of peace that find my heart in array,
Searching through the doubt, I shall in a moment find my stay.
Wondrous paths of peace, my heart shall daily treasure,
The focus of my heart and the highlight of my pleasure.
This ground upon which I ponder, its visitors I often welcome,
The giving of which I partake clouds out the desire of what shall be gained.
O stranger of what I am to become in this journey,
Grasp my hand tightly that I might not squander into hoplessness.
My happiness has many faces and my joy has one anchor,
Bind me to a walk that is not my own in these steps of contemplation.

WHEN THE ANSWER IS UNCLEAR

WHEN THE ANSWER IS
UNCLEAR
(By: Tyararr J. Jones)
Clouds of waiting welcome me at morning's door,
Frustration holds its hand waiting to burden me with more.
Time smiles at me with a grin of despair,
The taste of doubt always lurking about in the air.
I gather the particles of faith from yesterday's battles,
Wondering if I have enough to shake life's rattle.
Reminded I am, that my faith's source has no end,
Battle upon battle I can always depend.
The smile of my heart meets the sterness of my face,
Replinished by God's hand, refreshed by His daily grace.
My searching continues, the process is draining,
My life never dry, the storm of my mind always raining.
Peace comes silently like a thief in the night,
My faith has regained its anchor, I press on for another fight.
My answers are in the grasp of a time that is not my own,
Forever secure in my loving God and God alone.

Distant Friends With Common Ground

DISTANT FRIENDS WITH
COMMON GROUND
By: Tyararr J. Jones
How do I know you, for I have rarely seen your face?
We have scarcely ever communicated while living in the same place.
What is it that draws us to share the ponderings of our heart,
For we dwell on different ground and we are many miles apart?
The roads that we travel lead to the same glorious end,
Led by the same loving Master, upon whom we must faithfully depend.
Have we met at the same altar while kneeling daily to pray,
Asking for constant strength, to victoriously make it through the day.
Our fellowship is distant, but our hearts are bound as one,
Brought together in righteous harmony by Jesus Christ the Son.
The common bond we hold is secured permanently in the Cross,
A reminder of the hope we have when frustrated and suffering loss.
The fellowship of believers can be fruitful in its treasure,
Another gift from God as a daily simple pleasure.
Remember the sweet fellowship of those whom you can depend,
Priceless jewels upon this journey until we reach our end.

Harnessed Pain

HARNESSED PAIN
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Where do the emotions flow, behind the sterness of your face,
Are you resting in the Lord, are you trusting in His grace?
Is there joy in your spirit, is there happiness in your smile,
Have you lost faith in pursuing in front of you what is worthwhile?
You have a friend who cares for you and sees you everyday,
Do you have the boldness to express yourself and share what you need to say?
I give to you willingly and my heart I openly share,
You communicate randomly and act as if you do not care.
Do you really have peace behind the smile that you wear,
Will you please open up your heart and trust that I really care?
I love you my friend and I am burdened by your pain,
I love you for what I wish to give, not for what I seek to gain.

Last day of the Valentine Poems

A TESTAMENT
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Revealed to me today, the beauty of who you are,
Bringing you to my grasp, from the distance that has been so far.
Shackled I am to that day which will bring us together as one,
Bound together by God's hand, hopefully never to be undone.
All I have is temporal, I offer as my treasure,
May it bring you a smile and joy, though a vanishing pleasure.
I stand before you humbly as the holder of your heart,
May I never break it or from you ever depart.
I bask today in your beauty, a picture you graciously define,
A recipient of a gift, how glad I am that you are mine.

YOU !!!

YOU !!!
By: Tyararr J. Jones
I thought of you today, still unsure of where you are,
Not knowing if you are near or across borders far.
Focused I am to remain pure, for you even now within my heart,
To keep myself from those things that could later pull us apart.
I whisper silent prayers for you, a treasure without a name,
Waiting for the day we meet, which by God has already been framed.
Swiftly may our paths cross as music in a line,
Grasping for our sweet melody, O to call you mine.
Burdensome it has been without you by my side,
Comforted by the Holy Spirit, who faithfully abides.
Patiently I shall walk, while on the journey of this life,
Looking forward to that special day, when you will be my wife.

#5 NOT MINE TO GIVE

NOT MINE TO GIVE
By: Tyararr J. Jones
You asked for a relationship, I offered you friendship.
You asked for time; I gave you a listening ear.
You sought for help; I gave you devotion.
You asked for comfort; I gave you my hand.
You asked for encouragement; I gave you words from Scripture.
You asked for a gift; I gave you my heart.
You asked for peace; I gave you your space.
You asked for love; I gave you my all.
You asked for wisdom; I shared my thoughts.
You asked for more and I shared with you the source of all my giving...
God!

#4 A LETTER TO MY VALENTINE

A LETTER TO MY
VALENTINE.....
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Dear Princess,
My heart overflows as I think of you, so I have written you a letter. May I learn more ways to show my love and learn to love you better. Each day is a wondrous gift as a recipient of your love. Daily praise goes to the giver who reigns gloriously above. Please allow me this time to share my heart and the things about you I hold dear. When we are apart, may these thoughts to your heart always be near. I asked you to take this walk with me along the journey of life. To me you have been a compliment as we faced triumph and strife. I daily long to hear you talk, it is music I cherish to hear. It brings joy to my heart and to my life a pleasant cheer. For a long time I was a pirate, seeking for a princess by my side. A partner to refresh my spirit as we serve along life's wondrous ride. I am held speechless by your beauty, I am daily serenaded by your life's song. May I be a man that is faithful, who will toward God lead you along. I thank you for your love, I thank you for your care. I thank you for humbly showing me how I should freely share. I praise you as my Princess, I cherish you as my friend. You will always be my Valentine through this journey's end.

#3 ANAMONI GIA ESEIS

ANAMONI GIA ESEIS
By: Tyararr J. Jones
I have whispered your name on silent lips,
I have sung your unspoken name in the quiet melodies of my thoughts.
My heart has stuttered in its steps to open its arms to you,
Patience has no limit to its pursuit to put a face with its expectation.
Waiting has become an art, but its focus is in dire need of satisfaction,
Beauty seeks to place its definition upon your face.
The steps leading you to me are imprinted with the steps of Christ,
For such a treasure can not be found in my wanting, but only through prayer and asking.
In the quietness of my thoughts I am refreshed by the very expectation of you,
But driven by the expectation of seeing my Lord.
I long for the happiness of seeing your smile,
But I am daily satisfied in the joy that my heart recieves through God's promises.
There is a path I seek to follow and a question I daily ask,
May I be the man I should and faithfully follow God's task.
I wait for you in loving silence with a heart full of care,
Hoping to one day open my heart again and with you humbly share.

LOVE'S CANVAS

LOVE'S CANVAS
By: Tyararr J. Jones
How did I love today?
The love I say I have to give.
Did I express my love to others or focus on myself and what I have to do to live?
Did I pass on my joy and passion and reveal the things of care?
Did I live another day pridefully and to others not share?
How did I love today?
Did I show true love today to the person that is my spouse?
The treasure God has brought to me and the best addition to my life's house.
Have I loved out of duty, or does devotion drive my heart?
Have I expressed daily my thankfulness that in my life my spouse is a part?
How did I love today?
Right now in my life, God has me single.
I have to go out of my way for fellowship in which I wish to mingle.
I long for daily that special companion to enter into my life.
That priceless jewel, Lord willing I can one day call my wife.
How did I love today?
If my life is a paintbrush and how I treat others is the paint;
What kind of picture am I painting on the canvas of lives that pass
by me everyday?

LOVE UNSPOKEN #1

LOVE UNSPOKEN
(By: Tyararr J. Jones)
My lips are sealed in conscious thought awaiting the awakening
of my patient heart.
My heart has uttered more words than my mouth shall ever
speak.
The poetic songs of my heart have at times not reached
spoken language.
Hidden by acts of compassion, lies the secret whispers of a heart
wanting to share.
The treasures of those priceless words can only be heard by the one
whose heart is bound with mine.
Shackled not by fear, but harnessed by the melody of love.
My eyes struggle to hide the secret of the unspoken love
locked within.
The love within seeks to be free from the restrain, but there
is only one key.
When shall it be revealed?
When shall its seeker be found?
The mystery of both is bound by Hands I cannot see, but whose
love I daily hold.

VALENTINES DAY IS DRAWING NEAR.....

VALENTINES DAY IS
DRAWING NEAR
This is a quick little note to those that view my blog on occassion. That day of love that comes up on the 14th of this month is drawing near really fast. I am sure that many of you have already begun to think of ways to show your love. Beginning on Sunday, I will be posting poems till Wednesday that deal with expecting and sharing that love with that special someone in your life. I may not have that special someone right now, but that does not mean I cannot write about her. Well, to all my friends old and new, I hope you have a wonderful day in the Lord. Remember that God's love for us is greater than any love we will ever experience in this lifetime. Take care and God bless!

BEYOND MY WANTS

BEYOND MY
WANTS
(By: Tyararr J. Jones)
What would be my heart's response?
If I were to never recieve a desire of my heart or never have a want fulfilled the rest of my life.
What would be my response?
Would I be satisfied with what I have in Christ?
Would I be satisfied with where I am in Christ?
Would I be satisfied with who I am in Christ?
Have my wants become more important than my needs?
Do I serve the Lord only to have my wants fulfilled?
Have I realized that in God's eyes, my wants may not be what I need
And what I need is truly what He wants me to desire?
If God allowed us to function only on our wants,
Would there be enough things in our wants to test us, break us,
Mold us, challenge us, encourage us, and make us stronger in our faith?
As people, naturally we do not want to experience things that cause us to:
Suffer loss, make us cry, make us hurt, make us confront, make us see ourselves in a
True light, make us ask forgiveness, and make us truly depend on someone
Other than ourselves.
God's way is Perfect!
Is it hard to see the big picture when you are the one standing on painful ground?
Of course it is. Do we want to experience that broken relationship, that loss of
a parent, that loss of a job, that loss of good health, and that loss of our posessions?
Of course not!
But, am I truly asking God for what I need?
Ecclesiastes 7:14 says, "In the day of prosperity be happy, but in the day of
adversity consider --- God has made the one as well as the other. So that man will not discover anything that will be after him."
God is using both to draw us to him, not away from Him.
God is using both to makes us more like Him.
God is using both in ways we may not understand until we see Him face to face.
As you and I swallow these truths, Remember:
GOD'S WAY IS PERFECT!

GIVING TILL IT HURTS

GIVING TILL IT
HURTS
(By: Tyararr J. Jones)
O what else shall I give to that special person to whom I care,
My patient focus on this treasure, I seek to daily share.
Simple words of compassion and the revealing of my thoughts,
The many hours I have searched for and precious gifts have bought.
Quantity and Quality, aspects of time that are priceless in their measure,
I bind them with love as I share them with her, my treasure.
Giving cannot be limited to things purchased or given from your shelf,
But an opening of your arms and the complete giving of your self.
Giving till it hurts is of life a special sacrifice and part,
The most refreshing of all gifts is the recieving and giving of one's heart.

QUIET PONDERINGS

QUIET PONDERINGS
(By: Tyararr J. Jones)
I hear your voice O God, below the waves of countless grumblings and lies of this world.
Your gentle touch finds me restless and eager for that something else that beckons me relentlessly.
Lead me O God, to the revealings of what that something is.
It robs me not of sleep, but shares the chair with the anxiousness of my heart.
I quietly and softly walk close behind You as You lead the way.
The hand of darkness grasps at my feet that I might lose my way on this path You lead.
Comfort drowns me as I bask in your presence that sustains me and picks me up from the fall of my choices.
You, O God, are the quiet amidst the echoes of my searching heart.
You, O God, are the completeness to spots of void left by my temporary pleasures.
You, O God, are the peace in the daily battle between my flesh and spirt.
You, O God, are the foundation of my faith.
You, O God, are the smile that my heart needs at that special moment of my day.
You, O God, are the reason I get up when I fall.
You, O God, are the compass of my life.
You, O God, are the source of my restrain.
You, O God are the giver of my breath.
You, O God, are the giver and taker of what I have experienced.
You, O God, are the wisdom of my thoughts.
You, O God, are the healer of my heart.
You, O God, are are the quiet voice that calls out to me when I feel alone.
You, O God, are the friend that hears me, speaks to me, knows me, accepts me, understands me, loves me, forgives me, sustains me, guides me, protects me, and daily carries me.
You, O God, are the stillness of my restless thoughts and unsettled heart.
You, O God, are the quiet that I daily seek and the want I will always find. For you are always near.

MY LIFE'S COMPASS

MY LIFE'S COMPASS
(By: Tyararr J. Jones)
Pressing forward on this path I go,
Unsure at times of what I really know.
Storms that rain and press me for my peace of mind,
Fighting me for the reins of those things that are joyful and kind.
Reaching forth with weary hand from bended knee,
God I beckon you and seek for you with this humble plea.
Direct my life-long path and show me your perfect way,
Renew my mind and refresh my mouth with the words to say.
Pressing forward on this path I go,
Unsure at times of what I really know.
The cage of my heart is daily rattled and shaken,
Memories of my stumblings and choices of which I have been mistaken.
Be thou my pure vision that continually I will daily see,
The compass of my life is the Cross of Calvary.
