RELEASE ME

RELEASE ME
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Life's temporary shackles clang with laughter around my ankles as I kneel on weary knee,
Beckoning aloud to my gracious God as I chant my humble plea.
This wrestling for my will as life's reflection mocks me to my face,
I strive to sip but once from the cup of God's overflowing grace.
The drums of battle awaken me in the silence of resting thought,
Before familiar ground of countless disguised choices I am daily brought.
Confined to life's chains of temporary breath though eternity of Heaven holds my end,
Pressing forth with no retreat, for my faith I will daily contend.
Life's temporary shackles clang with laughter around my ankles as I kneel on weary knee,
O God, release me from the restrain as I long to you finally see.
