Scent Of Beautiful

SCENT OF BEAUTIFUL
By: Tyararr J. Jones

Beckoned by the tune of your beauty and who you are,
My silence of observation and reflection are awakened to a song of peace and joy,
By which you have become the pursuit of my heart.

The object of some of my deepest prayers you have been,
For a time that is as precious as you are to me.
My heart moved by the very thought of you and its desire to be joined with yours in a majestic symphony.

We pass by each day strangers to what could be though inwardly I'm pursuing God for your heart, a treasure undeserved.
You have become a constant whisper of prayer from my lips to the God whom you belong,
The scent of your beauty has become my heart's song.

Each glance from you impresses a smile on my face and heart that I wish not to be removed,
Smitten in silence by a beauty that is not my own,
For now I gaze in wonder upon one of God's priceless creations.

The uncertainty of your response to this pursuit halts my every move,
Frozen in time this love of mine, I long to make it a treasure of thine.
Oh that you might give me a sign to put this longing heart at ease.

Hiding in the shadows of this distant chance,
I dare to be the man you choose to forever with in this life dance.
Forever lost in your glance, marked by your scent of beauty.

RUNNING FROM THE REAL YOU

RUNNING FROM THE REAL YOU

By:Tyararr J. Jones

In this day and age we must take heed where we stand,

Are you truly a child of God and resting in His hand?

We have been called to follow a cause that is greater than anything we will ever face,

Promised to have exactly what we need if we truly follow God and stay faithful to the race.

Oh how often we live our lives based so shallow only to how we feel,

Living miserably in our guilt from day to day, drained of our desire to serve Him with zeal.

We half-heartedly gaze into God's Word, the true revealing mirror to how we are livin,

Missing out on the true purpose of our existence and this temporary life we have been givin.

Do we surround ourselves only with those who accept us for the wrong that we do,

Or those who acknowledge the good and the bad and challenge us to live Godly and true?

As we reflect back on our life and evaluate the closeness of our spiritual walk,

Can we honselty say that in public and private, our walk matches our talk?

We will never have true peace if we continue to run our lives based only on how we feel and what we think is right,

For God has created us for a spiritual purpose to live by faith and not by sight.

As Christians, we have comfort and strength as we strive to be real and do what is right,

May we press on in this spiritual battle and continue in the fight.

In this day and age we must not run from the voice of truth and the path that is good,

May we stay faithful to our heavenly cause for Christ and doing the things we should.

P.s. Press on this day and week striving to be real. There is no need to pretend to be something that you are not. No matter your vocation or what you do, you are to be a Christian first. Whether you are at a christian college, christian ministry, secular job, secular school,...you have a responsibility to be a witness and live Christ to those around you. What matters right now is living for Christ and sharing Christ and living Christ with those around you. No matter where you are in your walk with the Lord, strive for more. Give Christ your best right now. You were created in His glory, for His glory. There is nothing greater than seeing the children of God, filled with the spirit of God, doing the will of God, led by the power of God, living for the glory of God. Keep pressing on!!!

MY HEART SMILES

My Heart Smiles
By: Tyararr J Jones

O the impression on my tender heart that your precious life has made in time, O the joy that springs from within, passionate and sublime.
Your voice so soft and sweet, a beautiful tune in the midst of my day, It silences the noise of stress in the things I do and in the things I want to say.
I cherish our lovely walks together in the park as we walk hand in hand, The times we talk at sunset on the beach with our toes in the sand.
O the moments I hold close when I catch your subtle glimpses from across the room, Still baffled by the gift of God of you as my godly, sweet bride and He allowing me to be your groom.

Day by day so graciously as we choose to journey this unpredictable path of life, May we be drawn so much closer in our love as we deal with conflict and strife.

Thank you for being the love of my life and a pleasant picture on the canvas of my heart, So honored that on this path of life you are a divine part.
My heart smiles not only today but each day that I’m allowed to be the recipient of your awesome love, For you are gift that has been granted me by my loving Father above…..Happy Valentines Day!

TUG OF WAR

TUG OF WAR
by: Tyararr J. Jones

You give me reason to sing Your praise and allow You to be the tune of my heart.

Instead, I cling to the tunes of the world and mimic my life through someone's song from a temporary mindset.

You promise and show me unconditional love beyond what I deserve that is true and eternal.

Instead, I crave the temporary stints of lust or passions that only cling to me for what they can get from me.

You promise me continual forgiveness and grace for my daily sins which flow from my wicked heart.

Instead, I at times float in my guilt and use that as an excuse to continue in my sin.

You have chosen me for a purpose that is eternal, above what I could ask or think; I am a child of Yours to serve you out of devotion, not duty.

Instead, I choose to serve my own purpose and be a slave to my emotions and passions to fulfill my flesh daily.

You provide for me daily gifts and blessings beyond my comprehension even when I do not seek You.

Instead, I open my heart and arms to the temporary pleasures of the world only to walk away dissatisfied.

You redeemed me by your blood on the Cross of Calvary. You bore the penalty of my sin.

Instead, I waste my time forgetting that my time here on earth is short. I should be redeeming my time because the days are evil.

You love me more than I can comprehend, You call to me daily reminding me of my true purpose.

Instead, I give in to my flesh and turn my back on what I know is right and those who encourage me to do right.

You faithfully, daily provide for me what I need to continue in the fight against sin and the temporary pleasures of my heart that seek to overtake me.

O God, please help me to fight today and to quit pulling away from you but walk toward You. For You are my Rock, my Help, my Peace, my Hope, my Strong Tower, my Salvation, my All. I shall press on!

PRAYER FOR THE MORNING

PRAYER FOR THE MORNING
By: Tyararr J. Jones
O Lord, renew my mind, this vessel in which you find a mess,
Give me strength for this day as I battle against the flesh.
Refresh my broken heart O God as I journey along the way,
Purge the longing of my soul, renew the joy of my day.
Give me ears of discernment, fill my cup to love those hard to love,
Merge my song to the tune of heaven, feed me with your promises from above.
Firm the ground where I stand, though alone it may sometimes be,
Keep my focus on the prize, keep Heaven on my heart O so vividly.
Thank you for meeting me here with bended heart on bended knee.
Continue to steer the reins of my heart and conform this weary soul to thee.
Thank you Lord for directing me to seek You and go hard for what is right,
May I meet you here again unceasingly as I press on in the fight.

MY KIND OF SONG

MY KIND OF SONG
By: Tyararr J. Jones
LAVISHED by the delicate tunes of your sweet voice,
LISTENING to the echo of your compassionate actions is my heart's choice.
LINKED to you in melody, to you my heart and soul belong,
LOCKED in to the notes imprinted on my heart from our friendhsip's song.
OVERWHELMED by your gift of love, a treasure I do not deserve,
OBLIVIOUS at times to the many ways in which I can you, daily serve.
OLBIGED I am to be the recipient of your heart's special treasure,
OCCUPIED on you my love and the joy of our friendship's pleasure.
VIVACIOUS and refreshing are the ornaments that decorate the time spent with you,
VIVID is the canvas of your beauty that expresses itself so humbly and true.
VOLUMINOUS are the expressions of joy I have when I get to see your face,
VEXATION finds me briefly when we cannot be in the same place.
EVERYDAY your smile awakens new emotions in me like the start of a brand new day,
EXUBERANCE hinges on every word and thought I wish to say.
EXCEEDINGLY and abundantly are the praises I have toward you to whom I love,
EVERLASTING praise belongs to the Orcherstrator, my Awesome God who reigns from above.

TIDES OF THE HEART

TIDES OF THE
HEART
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Waves of distraction meet me on bended knee,
Beckoning doubt and confusion as I humbly pray and plea.
Change cries out to me with a new face seeking to ignite my day,
Stumbling upon rocks of past experience as I seek to find my stay.
This swell of emotions that overwhelm the ponderings of my mind,
Running from my grasps, stability so hard to find.
Low tides of joy find me in the valley of what shall I do,
Refreshed by God's promises and mercies which are daily new.
Paddling on still waters as my soul salivates at constant peace,
Longing for the battles of my will and desire to finally cease.
Release me O God from the under- current of weary that shackles my feet,
Increase my taste for your Word that is filling and sweet.
My heart is thine O Lord to daily mold and prod,
I bow to you with honor for you are my God.

PARTING OF WAYS

PARTING OF WAYS
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Bound we were on common ground, our heart and mind becoming as one,
We have hit a trifling wall of question and now all has been undone.
I bow my head in shame wishing that to you more things I would have thought,
Praying that a biblical mindset of life, from me you would have caught.
Decisions you have made for self for such a temporary pleasure,
Not guarding your precious heart as God's divine cherished treasure.
Round and round we have gone discussing what is truth and what is real,
Your emotions feeding on the world as its daily thoughtless meal.
I stand firm on the principles I have shared, that I know are true,
Even if that means losing the happiness that comes from knowing you.
This mindset you have chosen that is based on doing what you feel,
May your eyes and heart be quickly opened to what is Godly and what is real.
Relationships are so important for they can make or break your life,
You can walk a path of peace or one that is filled with strife.
The spiritual must be the foundation of all that you say and do,
Please strive in your choices to be pure and in your relationships right and true.
We now part ways as friends, though that path is clouded and dim,
I let you go with hurt, but I know you belong to HIM.

GOD OF THE PROCESS AND THE PRODUCT

GOD OF THE PROCESS AND
THE PRODUCT
By: Tyararr J. Jones
O Lord refine this vessel as I upon this challenging journey tread,
Keep my eyes focused on Heaven which awaits me after I am dead.
Help me to stay true to the process of your molding hand,
Shaping my heart to your statues and the obedience of your command.
At times I grow weary while restrained in this temporal state of mind,
Longing for that refreshing peace that can be so ever hard to find.
Renew me from within so that in the mirror of life I am real,
May I feast upon your precious Word as my daily spiritual meal.
May I not lose sight of the big picture that life is all about You!
Pressing forward faithfully for the prize that is so eternal and true.
Though the storms of life twirl about me and the rains flood my way,
May I rejoice in you always for you are my Rock, my stay.
Keep me patient in the process that you are doing in others and in me,
Your will is my desire and the song my heart will plea.
Please make your loving voice the tune my heart longs to hear,
For though I long for Heaven, I will be still....for You are always near.

LORD IF YOU ARE WILLING

LORD IF YOU ARE WILLING
By: Tyararr J. Jones
O Lord purge this dying vessel from the filth that is within,
As I daily battle for control on the dangerous brink of sin.
Victory's hand seems oh so fleeting as I contend for where I stand,
Longing to bend the knee as I submit to your command.
Break the chains of my will so from sin I may be restrained,
Push me toward your reflection that I in your presence may be contained.
Cleanse this wicked man from within and also from without,
That I may press forward by faith and not by clouds of doubt.
I covet the calm and peace that whispers before the pouring rain,
The refreshment and release after one has been removed from inner pain.
Help others to see I am not invincable or unemotional to the voice of sin's plan,
But I am just striving to be real and to be God's obedient man.

THE GOD OF TODAY, YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW

THE GOD OF TODAY, YESTERDAY, AND TOMORROW
By: Tyararr J. Jones
You try to silence me in the pondering of your thoughts...But I am in the silence and the noise...I am God.
Our conversations have been distant, you cry out to me only in time of need...I am always communicating to you...I am God.
Life's grip of burdens have broken you and knocked you to your knees...Give me your burdens...I am God.
You are looking for love in all the wrong places...temporary objects of affection...I love you...I am God.
Guilt has robbed you of usefulness. You are caged by the grip of past mistakes. I forgive you...I am God.
Tomorrow scares you, for your faith is in temporary expectations. Put your faith in me...I am God.
Fear is bound to your heart and actions. The opinions of people control you. Fear not man or the future...I am God.
Rest in me, commit to me, trust in me, hope in me, delight in me, walk with me. I know and hold your future...I am God.

THE HAND I HOLD

THE HAND I HOLD
By: Tyararr J. Jones
The hand I hold is bigger than the holes in which I fall,
Its comfort is more consuming than the grief I at times may bare.
Faithfully guided during times of questioning and pondering,
The hand I hold is strong.
The hand I hold is bigger than the trials I endure,
Its motive of constant care and direction is pure.
Patiently enduring my pulling away in times of pride and eccentric rebellion,
The hand I hold is patient.
The hand I hold is bigger than my sin,
It is the hand of God, so mighty and so strong.
A child of His I am and to Him I belong,
The hand that accepts my embrace is God's.
The hand that created the world created me,
The hand that breaks me also mends me.
The hand I hold is bigger than the fear that battles my faith,
It is the hand of God.

RELEASE ME

RELEASE ME
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Life's temporary shackles clang with laughter around my ankles as I kneel on weary knee,
Beckoning aloud to my gracious God as I chant my humble plea.
This wrestling for my will as life's reflection mocks me to my face,
I strive to sip but once from the cup of God's overflowing grace.
The drums of battle awaken me in the silence of resting thought,
Before familiar ground of countless disguised choices I am daily brought.
Confined to life's chains of temporary breath though eternity of Heaven holds my end,
Pressing forth with no retreat, for my faith I will daily contend.
Life's temporary shackles clang with laughter around my ankles as I kneel on weary knee,
O God, release me from the restrain as I long to you finally see.

TUNE OF MERCY

TUNE OF MERCY
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Forgiveness finds its familiar place in the midst of spoken word and silent reflection.
Grace is greeted with abundant joy and humility of understanding.
Hope is revealed in the refreshing morning of expectation.
Mercy is turned into song by the acceptance of a broken heart of harmony.
Happiness is unveiled by the clear perspective of unforseen circumstance.
Rebuke is spoken with silent hesitation.
Rehearsed like a symphony my expression finds peace.
Glory is expressed through a melody of inner celebration.
The tune of mercy grasps the reins of rebellious intention.
Humbling it to its reflection of undeserved forgiveness.
All in an instant, these hums of thought are bridled as servant sees the Master and remembers his purpose.

WHEN GOD SPEAKS

WHEN GOD SPEAKS
By: Jones/Piccirillo
O Lord, Have you not spoken or am I deaf to your voice?
Tune my heart to your sweet promises and my actions to making the right choice.
Make me sensitive to the reflection of beauty in the handiwork of creation,
Purge me through the filter of righteous recreation.
Teach me to listen to the gentle whispers of your pleasant voice,
Knowing that where they lead me, I will get the molding of your choice.
Allow me to feel the safety of your presence everywhere I go,
Guiding and showing me all that you wish for me to know.
Gird up the loins of my mind that my affections remain set on thee,
Set my eyes on the Holy standard of what I need to faithfully be.
Allow me not to get caught up with the pressures of this earth,
But help me stick to the standards of my cherished, new rebirth.
Satisfy my longing for fellowship that is pure and divine,
Keep me wrapped in blessed peace wihch is holy thine.
I desperately want to hear every word you have to say,
Teach me O Lord what you want and help me to obey.
I don't want to take for granted the words that you have shared,
So, thank you God for all that you've given and for how much you've cared.

THE WAITING

THE WAITING
By: Jones/Piccirillo
Here I humbly stand O God while kneeling deep within my heart,
Longing to know you more that I might not from your drift apart.
For when I call, you're always there no matter what my trouble,
Crying out your name, I come running toward you on the double.
Footsetps of apathy beckon me by name as I seek to follow your way,
Help me God to hold my ground, help me to quickly find my stay.
As I talk to you, O God I feel you draw me near,
When I pour my heart out to you, I fully am sincere.
Guide me in this waiting so that patient I may be,
Pushing me forward with grace though I may walk reluctantly.
Treasures of countless thoughts beckon the invitation of your will to my heart,
Help me to maintain my view of how truly great thou art!
Keep me close to you O God with every passing day,
I don't want the life you gave me to quickly pass away.
Help me not to lose my focus, you are the one thing that is true,
The things of this life will soon be gone so keep my heart set on you.

WHEN HEAVEN STOOD STILL

WHEN HEAVEN STOOD STILL
By: Tyararr J. Jones
In the silence of the day while on the Cross He hang,
Abrupt chants of hate from the people sang.
Scarce drops of peace hard to find in the crowd of anger,
Christians wandering about trying to hide from the danger.
Onlookers waiting for Jesus to deliver himself from this shame,
While reflecting on the cries of mockery from those who were to blame.
From light to darkness and the shaking of the ground,
Joy is fleeting and striving to be found.
For a moment, Heaven is silent as the Father's will is done,
Angels armed with sword surrounding God the Son.
As Jesus hung on the Cross wearing sin that was not His own,
Hope was brought to the high and mighty, to the poor and unknown.
All in an instant, Christ Jesus my King,
Silenced sin's voice and quenched death's sting.
His arms stretched wide with grace and with love,
Fulfilling his Father's will who looked down from above.
Laid to rest in a tomb made by man,
Carrying out what was prepared in His master plan.
From death to life as He arose from the grave,
Spreading forth his message to seek and to save.
Jesus Christ is my Savior and He is my Lord,
We must press on and follow His Word.

WHISPERS AT THE CROSS

WHISPERS AT THE CROSS
By: Tyararr J. Jones
The ponderings of my heart lost in the silence of the day,
Striving for clarity in the things I want to say.
O God, in the midst of storm help me not from you stray,
Please hear my whispers as I kneel and pray.
You are Strength, I am weak.
You are Master, I am servant.
You are Father, I am child.
You are Wisdom, I am foolish.
You are the Rock, I strive for stability.
You are Savior, I am sinner.
You are Immutable, You are changing me.
You are Love, I am still learning to love.
You are Peace, I am pushing away confusion.
You are Faithful, I am forever finding my ground.
You are Holy, I am humbling trying.
You are Forgiving, I am fretful.
You are King, I worship You.
You are my Refuge, I am safe in You.
You are Worthy, I praise You.
You are the Shepherd, I follow You.
You are the Light of the world, help me shine for You.
You are Life, help me live for You.
You are Hope, I will trust in You.
You took my place, I am bound to You.

FROM THE BRUSH TO ITS CANVAS

FROM THE BRUSH
TO ITS CANVAS
By: Tyararr J. Jones
Released from the silence of closed thoughts, my words ring in the ears of young minds of hidden potential.
From the first day of presentation, through the year of daily anticipation of diligent instruction....
The whispers of carpeted walls echoes the chant of...details! details! details!
Front row murmurings of questions that bring expressions of vast disguises,
The owner of these questions so eager for such evident answers.
I smile with inward and outward emotion due to the variety of pondering minds that sit before me daily.
Daily I seek to brush upon cognitive canvas: dsicipline, discernment, diligence, devotion, and determination.
Twenty-two canvases of impressionable thought, a responsibility that drains me daily of possible consequence.
To whom do I speak, to whom does this beckoning of openness belong?
It is to you my 9th grade pupils of beautiful minds and endless potential.
The prodding, the stretching, the pushing of extreme excellence that I demand is only for your future good.
At times, I know that you feel the pressure of deadlines and responsibilities to which you have never experienced.
The things that push you beyond your limits will make you stronger and give you mental endurance for later academic requirement.
Today, I recognize the diligence of those who have been hard working students.
I also take notice to those who have taken little steps toward the potential they seek to run from daily.
The paint which I seek to apply to the canvas of your minds is this:
Think before you speak.
Think before you act.
Be not afraid of the things that challenge you, embrace the trials you face as opportunitites to see God mold and shape you more into His image.
Conduct yourself in a manner that does not take away from your testimony or reputation but reflects who you truly serve.
Enjoy your youth, enjoy each other and enjoy the life God has given you; for the past cannot be replayed.
